Clogged Hair follicle
What is a clogged hair follicle? The hair on your scalp is for protection, but many things can actually settle into the hair follicle and clog it up. There are sebaceous glands just under the epidermis layer and their purpose is to secrete oils for hair luster and shine. Those little glands can actually over stimulate and produce more oils than needed, which leads to a clogged hair follicle. Along with toxins, pollutants, and not shampooing enough, this can lead to the opening becoming unable to allow for proper absorption. Clients who come into our clinic ask how often they should be shampooing. If you are experiencing hair loss, you need to be shampooing every day if you can, it is very important that the scalp remain hygienic and cleansed for hair to grow. If you are concerned about losing more hair from shampooing more often, those hairs are already falling out of the anagen phase to soon, and shampooing will not stimulate that. You need to be consulted and advised on proper hair
